Oral Electrolyte for horses

Summer Games Electrolyte is a dietary electrolyte and trace mineral supplement for horses. When horses sweat, they lose significant amounts of essential electrolytes, including sodium, chloride, potassium, and to a lesser degree, magnesium. Summer Games Electrolyte is formulated to replace these key electrolytes that are lost in sweat during exercise.

Feeding Directions

Mix Summer Games Electrolyte with the daily grain ration. All horses should have free-choice access to a salt block, or loose salt, and fresh clean water.

The amount of electrolyte supplementation will depend on how much the horse sweats. Typically, a normal maintenance intake for horses at rest in hot environments or those being transported in hot weather is 1 ounce per day. Horses at moderate work levels receive 2-3 ounces, and those in heavy training require 3-4 ounces per day. It is recommended that daily doses of 3 or 4 ounces be divided into separate feedings.
