Each tablet contains:

0.5 mg Diethylstilbestrol U.S.P.

INDICATIONS: A synthetic non-steroidal estrogen for use as an aid in the control of urinary incontinence in ovariohysterectomized female dogs and cats.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

DOGS: 1 mg per 10 kg / CATS: 0.5 mg per 5 kg;

Given orally once daily for 1 week or until incontinence is resolved (no longer than 7 days), then gradually reduce dosage until lowest effective dose is attained for maintenance.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS: Do not use in females with estrogen-sensitive neoplasms.

CAUTIONS: Some estrogens have been associated with bone marrow suppression and an increased risk of mammary tumors.

WARNINGS: FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS PREPARATION TO ANIMALS THAT PRODUCE FOOD OR THAT ARE INTENDED FOR CONSUMPTION AS FOOD. Not for Human use. Women of Child-bearing age or those who are breastfeeding should use caution when administering STILBESTROL TABLETS 0.5mg. Wash hands after administration to avoid exposure to the drug. Keep out of the reach of children.

ADVERSE REACTIONS: Although estrogen therapy has been associated with adverse reactions (e.g. gastro-intestinal and estrogenic effects), some of which can be serious (e.g. blood dyscrasias), it is usually well tolerated when used for estrogen-responsive incontinence at the lowest effective dose.
