INGREDIENTS

MIXING DIRECTIONS

The enclosed cup holds 12 ounces of milk replacer powder when filled level-full. Using the cup enclosed in the bag, sprinkle 12 ounces of milk replacer powder on top of 2 quarts of warm water (110-115°F) and stir with a whisk until completely dissolved. For most accurate mixing, weigh milk replacer powder.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS

After feeding colostrum during the first 24 hours, begin feeding milk replacer on day 2. Cool milk replacer solution to body temperature before feeding (101-102°F). Always offer clean, free-choice water.

FOR LARGE BREEDS: Feed 2.3 quarts (fill 2 quart bottle to rim) of milk replacer solution twice daily per calf. Adjust feeding rates for small breed calves.

STORAGE

Store dry milk replacer powder in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place. Best if used within 12 months of manufacture. Shelf life can be extended by freezing the dry powder in a tightly sealed container. After mixing powder with water, refrigerate extra milk replacer solution promptly and use within 24 hours.

IMPORTANT: FOLLOW FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS

GENERAL MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS

1. Feed colostrum within 2 hours of birth and again 12 hours later. Begin feeding milk replacer on day 2.

2. Begin feeding calf starter free-choice in the first week. Feed a small amount at first and replace daily.

3. Provide fresh, clean water at all times.

4. Keep electrolytes on hand to help with rehydration during times of stress or illness.

5. Calves can be weaned from milk replacer successfully when intake of calf starter reaches 2 pounds daily for 3 consecutive days. Wean only healthy calves.

6. Environmental conditions may alter feeding rate. See your nutritionist for details.

7. Begin feeding hay after weaning.
