FIRST AID

If Swallowed:

● Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice, or transport the patient to the nearest hospital.

● Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow.

● Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

● Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor.

If on Skin or on Clothing:

● Take off contaminated clothing.

● Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes.

● Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice.

Have product container or label with you when calling a poison control center, doctor, or going for treatment.

HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS

Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray Caution

Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Mixers, loaders, applicators, and other handlers must wear:

● Long-sleeved shirt,

● Long pants,

● Shoes and socks, and

● Chemical-resistant gloves (barrier laminate or Viton).

In addition to the above PPE, applicators using hand held foggers in an enclosed area must wear a half-face, full-face, or hood-style NIOSH-approved respirator with:

● organic vapor cartridges and combination R or P filters.

User Safety Requirements

Follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry. Discard clothing and other absorbent materials that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with this product’s concentrate. Do not reuse them.

User Safety Recommendations

Users should wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. Users should remove clothing/PPE immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. Users should remove PPE immediately after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing them. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.

Environmental Hazards

This product is toxic to aquatic organisms, including fish and invertebrates. Run-off from treated areas or deposition of spray droplets in water may be hazardous to fish and aquatic invertebrates.

Before making the first application in a season, it is advisable to consult with the state or tribal agency with primary responsibility for pesticide regulation to determine if other regulatory requirements exist. Do not apply over bodies of water (lakes, rivers, permanent streams, natural ponds, commercial fish ponds, swamps, marshes, or estuaries), except when necessary to target areas where adult mosquitoes are present, and weather conditions will facilitate movement of applied material away from the water in order to minimize incidental deposition into the water body. Do not contaminate bodies of water when disposing of equipment rinsate or wash waters.

This product is highly toxic to bees and other pollinating insects exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming crops or weeds. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming crops or weeds if bees or other pollinating insects are foraging in the treatment area.

Directions For Use

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

READ THE LABEL: Read the entire label and follow all use directions, use restrictions and precautions.

USE RESTRICTIONS

● Except when using as a mosquito adulticide, do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons either directly or through drift.

● Except when using as a mosquito adulticide, only protected handlers may be in the area during application.

● For use by federal, state, tribal, or local government officials responsible for public health or vector control or by persons certified in the appropriate category or otherwise authorized by the state or tribal lead pesticide regulatory agency to perform adult mosquito control applications or by persons under their direct supervision.

● The use of this product in food processing establishments should be confined to time periods when the plant is not in operation. Food should be removed or covered during treatment. All food processing plant surfaces should be covered during treatment or thoroughly cleaned with an effective cleaning compound and rinsed with potable water before reuse. Vacate treated area and ventilate before reoccupying.

● Remove pets, birds, and cover fish aquariums before spraying.

● Do not transport in temperatures below 32°F (0°C).

For use as a surface spray:

● Except when using as a mosquito adulticide, do not enter or allow others to enter until sprays have dried.

For use as a space spray:

● Except when using as a mosquito adulticide, do not enter or allow others to enter until vapors, mists, and aerosols have dispersed, and the treated area has been thoroughly ventilated.

● Do not remain in treated area. Exit area immediately and remain outside the treated area until aerosols, vapors, and/or mists have dispersed.

For application to articles:

● Do not wet articles to the point of run-off or drip.

● Do not use treated articles until spray has dried.

Indoor Applications

For maximum effectiveness, a combination of spot surface treatment and fogging is recommended.

Surface Spraying

To Control Roaches, Ants, Silverfish, Spiders, Crickets, Clover Mites, Cheese Mites, Granary Weevils, Confused Flour Beetles, Red Flour Beetles, Saw-Toothed Grain Beetles, Spider Beetles, Meal Worms, Grain Mites, and Cadelles:

Use a good sprayer adjusted to deliver a coarse wet spray. Direct Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray into hiding places, cracks and crevices, under pallets, around containers of stored foods, around the bases of machinery, and behind shelves and drawers.

To Control Silverfish:

Spray bookcases.

To Control Ants:

Spray trails, nests, and points of entry. If surface application only is to be used, spray floors, walls, and other surfaces at a rate of 1 gallon Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray to 750 square feet of surface.

To Control Carpet Beetles:

Spray edges of carpeting under carpets and rugs. Make localized application to floor and baseboard. Spray Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray directly into cracks, closets, and infested areas of shelving. Repeat treatment as needed.

To Control Bed Bugs:

Spray mattress lightly, particularly tufts and seams. Take bed frames apart and spray Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray in all joints. Repeat treatment as needed.

To Control Fleas and Brown Dog Ticks:

Thoroughly spray infested areas, pet beds, resting quarters, nearby cracks and crevices, along and behind baseboards, moldings, window and door frames, and localized areas of floor and floor covering with Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray. Fresh bedding should be placed in animal’s quarters following treatment. Concurrent treatment of animals with an approved insecticide is recommended. Repeat treatment as necessary.

To Control Clothes Moths:

Remove any infested articles from storage, brush thoroughly, and air several hours in sunlight, if possible. Apply Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray liberally to empty chests, closets, bureaus, and other storages, directing spray into cracks, joints, and crevices. After airing, infested articles may be treated lightly keeping nozzle at least 3 feet from fabric to avoid staining.

Space Spraying

To Control Flies, Fruit Flies, Gnats, Mosquitoes, Skipper Flies, Wasps, Hornets, Angoumois Grain Moths, Mediterranean Flour Moths, Indian Meal Moths, and Tobacco Moths:

Close door and windows and shut off ventilation systems. Apply Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray with a good machine adjusted to deliver a fine mist or fog. Direct the spray at an upward angle, distributing it uniformly throughout the entire area at a rate of 3 to 6 ounces per 1,000 cubic feet of space.

Fogging

To Kill Accessible Stages of all of the Above-Named Crawling Insects:

Use at a rate of 1 gallon to 20,000 to 40,000 cubic feet of space. Contact insects directly whenever possible.

On-animal Uses

To Protect Cattle and Horses from:

Horn Flies, House Flies, Mosquitoes, and Gnats:

Apply a light mist of Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray sufficient to wet the surface of the hair.

Stable Flies, Horse Flies, and Deer Flies:

Apply Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray at a rate of 2 ounces per adult cow or horse, sufficient to wet the hair thoroughly. Repeat treatment daily or at intervals necessary to give continued protection.

Sucking Lice:

Apply Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray to the infested areas of the animal using a stiff brush to get the spray to the base of the hair. Repeat every 2 or 3 weeks, as necessary.

Outdoor Mosquito Control

Apply Prozap Aqueous Fly Spray as a fine mist to thoroughly treat the entire area. For best results, treat when the wind velocity does not exceed 5 miles per hour (m.p.h.). Treat shrubbery or vegetation where mosquitoes may rest, low marshy places, stagnant pools or ponds, and shore lines. Apply at a rate of 1.5 gallons per acre (4.5 ounces per 1,000 square feet). Using truck-mounted, conventional misting equipment, such as Rotomist models 51C, 91, or 100HT, and traveling at 5 m.p.h. to treat a 300-foot swath, calibrate equipment to deliver 4.5 gallons per minute.

Storage And Disposal

Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.

PESTICIDE STORAGE: Do not store under conditions which might adversely affect the container or its ability to function properly. Do not store below temperature of 32°F (0°C). Store in a safe manner. Store in original container only. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Reduce stacking height where local conditions can affect package strength. Personnel should use clothing and equipment consistent with good pesticide handling procedures.

PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Pesticide, spray mixture, or rinsate that cannot be used according to label instructions must be disposed of according to applicable Federal, state, and local regulations.

CONTAINER HANDLING: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container.

If empty: Place in trash or offer for recycling, if available.

If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.
