ProHex-4 Shampoo Indications

ProHex-4 is indicated as an aid in the treatment of superficial skin conditions caused by bacteria, fungi, ringworm and yeasts which may be responsive to the activity of chlorhexidine. ProHex-4 is antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial. This product is indicated for dogs and cats and intended to be used adjunctively in protocols for the management of skin conditions under the supervision of your veterinarian.

Active Ingredient

4.0% w/w Chlorhexidine digluconate.

Inactive Ingredients

Water, Sodium C14-C16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Climbazole (preservative), Fragrance, FDC Blue, FDC Yellow.

Directions For Use

SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING. Thoroughly wet the animal’s coat with cool to tepid water. Massage into the skin and coat to create a generous lather. Wait 5-10 minutes and rinse well. May be used once or twice a week or as directed by your veterinarian for the specific disorder being treated.

Contraindications

Do not use in animals which are hypersensitive to any component of this formulation.

Cautions: For topical use only. Should not be swallowed. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation develops, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated animals, or if not possible, refrain from using.

Storage

Store in a cool dry place (15°C - 30°C). Do not freeze.
