HOSPITAL AND GENERAL DISINFECTION

When used as directed this product effectively cleans, sanitizes and disinfects hard, non-porous surfaces such as those made of acrylic, metals (aluminum, brass, copper, stainless steel, chrome), sealed granite, glass, plastics (polycarbonate, polypropylene, polystyrene and polyvinylchloride (PVC)), clear plastics, hard, non-porous rubber, Plexiglas®, vinyl as well as coated, laminated and painted surfaces.

This product can be used in: child care facilities, clinical areas, dialysis centers, drug preparation facilities, emergency medical service (EMS) units, exam rooms, GI labs, infant care facilities, isolation rooms, laboratories, neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), operating rooms, ophthalmology facilities, patient care rooms, pediatric units, personal care service facilities, pharmacies, physical therapy facilities, plasma pheresis facilities, primary care facilities, sick rooms, and other similar establishments.

This product can be used on the following surfaces: anesthesia machines, bedrails, beds, bedside devices, biohazard team equipment, birthing room fixtures, blood bank equipment surfaces, blood pressure equipment, chest pumps, coated mattresses, colon equipment surfaces, computer keyboards, computer screens, drug preparation equipment, emergency room stretchers, empty whirlpool tanks, endoscopes, exam room surfaces, floors, glucometers, gonial lenses, empty hydrotherapy units, infant care equipment, Isolettes®, infusion pump surfaces, lab benches, mats, mattress covers, monitors, operating room surfaces, oxygen hoods, patient beds, physician office surfaces, respiratory therapy equipment, skin care equipment surfaces, telemetry equipment, tonometer equipment surfaces, and other similar surfaces.

VETERINARY/PET CARE

This product can be used in: animal/pet care facilities, animal control facilities, animal control vehicles, animal breeding facilities, animal detention facilities, animal hospitals, animal laboratories, animal research facilities, animal shelters, animal show facilities, animal trailers, zoos and other similar establishments.

This product can be used on the following surfaces: animal cages, aquariums, bird cage surfaces, mouth bits, clippers, exam room surfaces, examination tables, fish tanks, grooming tables, horse trailers, incubators, kennels, laboratory fixtures, litter boxes, pooper scoopers, pumps, reptile habitats, stalls, surgical tables, veterinary operating room lights, veterinary operating room tables, veterinary equipment surfaces, and other similar surfaces.

Directions For Use

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Pre-clean all surfaces to be treated with this product. Apply this undiluted product by sponge, rag, cloth, microfiber, mop, spray or immersion to wet surfaces thoroughly.

HOSPITAL AND GENERAL DISINFECTION

This product kills the following organisms in 10 seconds on pre-cleaned soft surfaces at room temperature when used as directed: Enterobacter aerogenes, Staphylococcus aureus. This product kills the following organisms in 10 seconds on pre-cleaned hard, non-porous non-food contact surfaces at room temperature when used as directed: Enterobacter aerogenes, Staphylococcus aureus. This product kills the following organisms in 1 minute on pre-cleaned hard, non-porous food contact surfaces at room temperature when used as directed: Escherichia coli E.coli, Staphylococcus aureus. This product kills the following bacteria in 2 minutes on pre-cleaned hard, non-porous surfaces at room temperature when used as directed: Acinetobacter baumannii, Escherichia coli - with ESBL (E. coli), Enterobacter aerogenes, Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP), Listeria monocytogenes, Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Mycobacterium bovis BCG (tuberculosis) (TB), Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Serratia marcescens, Salmonella enterica, Staphylococcus aureus, Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus faecalis (VRE). This product kills the following viruses* in 2 minutes on pre-cleaned hard, non-porous surfaces at room temperature when used as directed: Avian Influenza A Reassortant Virus (H3N2), Swine Influenza A Virus (H1N1), Rotavirus, Hepatitis B Virus* (HBV), Hepatitis C Virus* (HCV), Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-2), Human Immunodeficiency Virus* (HIV-1) (associated with AIDS), Influenza A Virus Strain A2/Hong Kong, Rhinovirus. This product kills the following fungi in 2 minutes on pre-cleaned hard, non-porous surfaces at room temperature when used as directed: Trichophyton interdigitale (Ringworm).

*HIV-1, HBV and HCV Precautions: This product kills HIV-1, HBV and HCV on pre-cleaned hard, non-porous surfaces/objects previously soiled with blood/body fluids in health care or other settings in which there is an expected likelihood of soiling of hard, non-porous surfaces/objects with blood/body fluids, and in which the surfaces/objects likely to be soiled can be associated with the potential for transmission of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1) (associated with AIDS), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV)

Special instructions for cleaning against HIV-1, HBV and HCV on surfaces/objects soiled with blood/body fluids:

Personal Protection: Specific barrier protection items to be used when handling items soiled with blood or body fluids are disposable latex gloves, gowns, masks and eye coverings. Cleaning Procedure: Blood and body fluids must be thoroughly cleaned from surfaces/objects before disinfection. Contact Time: Allow hard, non-porous surfaces to remain wet for 2 minutes to kill HIV-1, HBV and HCV. Infectious Materials Disposal: Cleaning materials used that may contain blood/body fluids must be autoclaved and/or disposed of in accordance with local regulations for infectious materials disposal.

This product is not to be used as a terminal sterilant or high-level disinfectant on any surface or instrument that (1) is introduced directly into the human body, either into or in contact with the bloodstream or normally sterile areas of the body, or (2) contacts intact mucous membranes, but which does not ordinarily penetrate the blood barrier or otherwise enter sterile areas of the body. This product may be used to pre-clean critical and semi-critical medical devices prior to sterilization or high-level disinfection.

Cleaning and Deodorizing Directions

For surface cleaning: To clean surfaces, saturate surfaces with this product by spray, mop, rag, towel, paper towel, pour, or immersion then wipe surface clean.

Repeat, if necessary, until surfaces are visibly clean. Discard paper towels or launder cloth towels before reusing.

For cleaning walls and floors: In a clean bucket, dilute 2 to 4 oz. of this product per gallon of warm, clean, potable water. Thoroughly damp-mop using a clean mop, cloth towel or sponge. Allow to air dry.

For use as a pre-cleaning instrument device spot or stain removal spray treatment: Thoroughly spray soiled area, allow to remain wet for at least 10 seconds before laundering as usual.

For use as a surface deodorizer: Apply to surface and either wipe off or allow to air dry.

For use as a pre-cleaning instrument device spray: Place item into a suitable container. Thoroughly spray item with this product until drenched, thoroughly rinse. Follow with an appropriate terminal cleaning and sterilization/disinfection process.

For use to pre-clean flexible endoscopes prior to handling during terminal reprocessing: Immediately after use and while the scope is still connected to the light source, thoroughly wipe the exterior surface of the insertion tube using a sponge saturated with this product until visibly clean. Flush the internal channels of the scope, suctioning this product through the internal channels, through the suction tubing and into the suction jar until the solution is visibly clean. Cover the scope and transport to the appropriate area for terminal reprocessing. This product is not be used as a sanitizer or disinfectant for endoscopes.

For use as an ultrasonic cleaning solution: Prepare the ultrasonic bath using a dilution ratio of 1 fl. oz. of this product with 1 quart of clean, potable water.

Place items into the ultrasonic bath, activate unit and allow unit to operate until items are visibly clean. Remove items and thoroughly rinse under running cool tap water. Proceed with appropriate disinfection or sterilization process.

Disinfection Directions

For use as a hard, non-porous non-food contact surface disinfectant/virucide/fungicide: Apply this product to pre-cleaned surfaces by sponge, cloth, microfiber, mop, spray, pour or immersion to wet surfaces thoroughly. Allow to remain wet for 2 minutes at room temperature, then wipe dry using a microfiber mop, clean paper or cloth towel, or rinse surface using potable water and wipe surface dry or allow to air dry. Discard or launder spent materials before reuse.

For use as a protective eye wear loupe cleaner and disinfectant: Thoroughly wet entire surface and wipe clean using a soft cloth. Reapply and allow surface to remain wet for 2 minutes. Re-wipe the surface using a fresh cloth. This product should not be used on contact lenses.

Sanitization Directions

For soft, non-food contact surface sanitization: Apply this product to pre-cleaned soft surfaces by sponge, cloth, microfiber, mop, spray, pour or immersion to wet surfaces thoroughly. Allow soft surfaces to remain visibly wet for 10 seconds at room temperature then wipe surfaces using a clean microfiber mop, paper or cloth towel, or rinse surface using potable water or allow to air dry. Discard or launder spent materials before reuse.

For hard, non-porous, non-food contact surface sanitization: Apply this product to pre-cleaned hard, non-porous surfaces by sponge, cloth, microfiber, mop, spray, pour or immersion to wet surfaces thoroughly. Allow hard, nonporous surfaces to remain visibly wet for 10 seconds at room temperature then wipe surfaces using a clean microfiber mop, paper or cloth towel, or rinse surface using potable water or allow to air dry. Discard or launder spent materials before reuse.

For use as a protective eye wear loupe cleaner and sanitizer: Thoroughly wet entire surface and wipe clean using a soft cloth. Reapply and allow surface to remain wet for 10 seconds. Re-wipe the surface using a fresh cloth. This product should not be used on contact lenses.

For hard, non-porous food contact surface sanitization: Apply this product to pre-cleaned surfaces by sponge, cloth, microfiber, mop, spray, pour or immersion to wet surfaces thoroughly. Allow hard, non-porous food contact surfaces to remain visibly wet for 1 minute at room temperature then wipe surfaces using a clean microfiber mop, paper or cloth towel, or rinse surface using potable water or wipe surface dry or allow to air dry. Discard or launder spent materials before reuse.

VETERINARY/PET CARE

This product kills the following bacteria in 3 minutes on pre-cleaned hard, non-porous surfaces at room temperature when used as directed: Bordetella bronchiseptica (kennel cough), Chlamydia psittaci (parrot fever), Streptococcus equi. This product kills the following viruses* in 3 minutes on pre-cleaned hard, non-porous surfaces at room temperature when used as directed: Bovine Viral Diarrhea Hepatitis C Virus*, Duck Hepatitis B Virus*, Canine Distemper Virus, Canine Para-Influenza Virus, Feline Leukemia Virus, Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis Virus, Murine Norovirus. Prior to surface cleaning and disinfection, remove visible debris such as animal excrement and bedding materials such as blankets, litter, wood chips, hay or straw.

Allow to remain wet for 3 minutes at room temperature, then wipe dry using a microfiber mop, clean paper or cloth towel, or rinse surface using potable water and wipe surface dry or allow to air dry. Discard or launder spent materials before reuse.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.

Pesticide Storage: Store in original container in a cool, well-ventilated (preferably locked) area inaccessible to children and pets. Pesticide Disposal: To avoid waste, use all material in this container by application according to label directions. If wastes cannot be avoided, offer remaining product to a waste disposal facility or pesticide disposal program. Container Handling: Non-refillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Discard container and put in trash or offer for recycling if available.

PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS

Hazards to Humans and Domestic Animals

Opti-Cide3 Caution

Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through skin. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid breathing vapors and contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment based on safe work practices. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet. Remove contaminated clothing and wash clothing before reuse.

FIRST AID

If Inhaled: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. If on Skin: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. If in Eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye.
