Directions For Use

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labelling. Insect Dust kills Roaches, Slugs, Ants, Earwigs, Grasshoppers, Crickets, Silverfish, Millipedes, Centipedes, Sow bugs, Pill Bugs, Lice, Mites, Box Elder Bugs and Carpet Beetles. Insect Dust is also effective against Fleas, Ticks, Aphids, Snails, and Japanese Beetles.

Indoor Use: Apply using a squeeze bottle duster, bulb puffer type duster, or hand held shaker duster, at a rate of 1-2 lbs/1000 ft2 (1-2 oz/62.5 ft2). Apply thin layer of dust to baseboards, corners, crevices, outlets, attics, crawl spaces, closets, wall voids, etc. to ensure a continuous perimeter around home, structure and/or rooms. Do not apply more than once per week. Carpet Application: Apply to carpet at a rate of 1-2 lbs/1000 ft2 (1-2 oz/62.5 ft2). Sprinkle lightly over carpet and work into nap with broom or carpet rake. Vacuum carpet every week and reapply until insect life cycle is broken (approximately 30-45 days).

Outdoor Use (Home): Apply using manual hand held shaker, bulb, bellows, or piston type manual or powered dry dust applicators, or solution application through garden spray equipment at a rate of 2-5 lbs/1000 ft2 (2-5 oz/62.5 ft2). Starting point for spray solution is approximately 1 lb Insect Dust / gallon (4 oz/quart) of water. For Homes apply dust or solution in all areas where insects are found including door frames, window sills, outside entry ways, barns, stalls, and other outdoor structures. Garden & Plants: Apply dust or solution to entire plant and around the base of plants. Fruit Trees: Apply dust or solution to leaves and put a perimeter of dust around the trees.

Empty Storage Area Treatment:

Insect Dust should be dusted lightly, at an approximate rate of 1-2 lbs per 1000 ft2 (1-2 oz per 62.5 ft2) on all interior wall and floor surfaces of empty storage areas. Pay special attention to those areas of harborage for insects (cracks and crevices).

Insulation:

Insect Dust can be mixed with cellulose insulation to aid in the control of insects. Mix 1 lb. of Insect Dust with 20-25 lbs. of cellulose insulation while blowing the insulation material into treatment site. Insect Dust may also be applied at 1-2 lbs/1000 ft2 into insulated well cavities, crawl spaces & attics with a manual or powered duster.

Dogs and Cats: Aides in the Control of Fleas, Ticks, Lice & Mites:

USE ONLY ON DOGS AND CATS:

Apply Insect Dust thoroughly into animal’s fur using a squeeze bottle or bulb type puffing duster. Brush the animal’s hair backwards with hand or brush, while puffing the dust at the base of the hair. Application over the entire animal is necessary. Be sure to carefully apply to head to avoid contact with eyes and inside ears. Wipe excess off with a damp cloth being careful not to remove product that is near the animal’s skin and in contact with insects. Reapply weekly for a period of 30-45 days (to ensure insect life cycle is broken). Observe for signs of sensitivity, such as drying skin or rash (not common). If pet exhibits signs of sensitivity, product can be removed by bathing.

Application to Dog or Cat Areas:

Treat floor and bedding in and around pet’s sleeping quarters including baseboards, carpeting and wherever insects a re suspected. Carpet Application: Apply to carpet at a rate of 1-2 lbs per 1000 ft2 (1-2 oz per 62.5 ft2) Sprinkle lightly over carpet and work into nap with broom or carpet rake. Vacuum carpet every week and reapply until insect life cycle is broken (approximately 30-45 days).

User Safety Requirements

Follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry. Discard clothing and other absorbent material that have been heavily contaminated with the product. Do not reuse them. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.

Environmental Hazards

For terrestrial uses: Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwater or rinsate.

STORAGE & DISPOSAL

Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.

Pesticide Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.

Pesticide Disposal and Container Handling: Non refillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. If empty: Place in trash can or offer for recycling, if available. If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions.

PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS:

HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS

Hazards to Humans: Caution: Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Use adequate ventilation and avoid breathing dust. Wear a suitable dust mask when using this product during prolonged exposure. Respirators fitted with filters certified to standard 42 CFR 84 as meeting an N95 efficiency are suitable.

Hazards to Domestic Animals: USE ONLY ON DOGS AND CATS. Do not use on dogs and cats under 12 weeks old. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant, nursing, or medicated animals. Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.

FIRST AID:

If Swallowed:

● Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice.

● Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow.

● Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor.

● Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

If Inhaled:

● Move person to fresh air.

● If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, and then give artificial respiration, preferably mouth to mouth if possible.

● Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.

If on Skin or Clothing:

● Take off contaminated clothing.

● Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes.

● Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.

If in Eyes:

● Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes.

● Remove contact lenses, if present, after first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye.

● Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
