Provides the energy, immunity and nutrition needed by newborn lambs and goat kids

Headstart HiCal Indications

Headstart® HiCal is used as an aid in the treatment of Failure of Passive Transfer (FPT) in newborn lambs and kid goats.

Directions

Mix the powder with water (43 to 49°C) and feed within 2 hours of birth. Consult your veterinarian.

Dose

Each feeding is based on body weight. Feed the appropriate amount described in the chart, 3 times in the first 18 hours of life.

Storage

Store out of direct sunlight in a dry location at or below 25°C.

The mixed colostrum can be stored refrigerated for up to 72 hours and should be rewarmed to 40°C by immersing in warm water (50 to 55°C) prior to feeding. Do not microwave.
