Commercial agricultural or industrial water system injection for the oxidation of odors when they form:

In well systems, FortiSolve 100 is injected with a peristaltic pump through a 1/4 inch plastic tube (or other comparable injection system) inserted into the well all the way to the well intake screens. The most distant faucet is tested with a supplied test strip until a residual of 20-25 ppm hydrogen peroxide is detected indicating that the system has been thoroughly treated. The injection pump should then be adjusted to deliver 25 ppm on a consistent basis to the water system. When treating the watering system for sick animals, the most distant faucet is tested with a test strip until a residual of 100-1000 ppm hydrogen peroxide is detected indicating that the system has been thoroughly treated. When this level is reached the injection is immediately reduced until the test strip indicates the 25 ppm is reached and the system is maintained at the 25 ppm level. This process can be repeated monthly to ensure a clean water system and avoid screen clogging.

Biocide and Non-Public Health Uses

For the biocide and non-public health uses below, the use of FortiSolve 200 is not required. FortiSolve 200 may be used as an adjuvant for FortiSolve 100 in biocide and non-public health uses to adjust pH, inhibit corrosion and enhance cleaning.

DOSAGE RATES

Initial Dose for badly fouled systems:

Add 0.5 to 4 gal (500-4000 ppm) FortiSolve 100 per 1000 gallons of water in the system. If cleaning is desired or if the pH of the system is below 8, optionally add simultaneously FortiSolve 200 at the rate of 1 to 3 times the volume of FortiSolve 100. Repeat until control is evident.

Routine Dose, when microbial control is evident:

Subsequent slug additions of 5 oz to 64 fl oz (40-500 ppm) FortiSolve 100 per 1000 gallons of water (and if cleaning is desired or the pH of the system is below 8, optionally add FortiSolve 200 at the rate of 1 to 3 times the volume of FortiSolve 100) are employed every 2 to 5 days or as needed. The frequency of addition depends on the relative amount of bleed-off, the quality of the makeup water and rate of inflow of airborne or other contaminants. Make slug additions in the sump of water cooling towers.

Continuous Dosage:

For continuous, or semi-continuous, low level dosage of FortiSolve 100, add 1 oz to 20 oz (8-165 ppm) FortiSolve 100 per 1000 gallons of water (and if cleaning is desired or the pH of the system is below 8, FortiSolve 200 at the rate of 1 to 3 times the volume of FortiSolve 100).

TANKS, SUMPS, AND OTHER HOLDING VESSELS, PIPING, WATERLINES AND INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT USED TO STORE AND CONVEY INDUSTRIAL OR COMMERCIAL WATER OR AQUEOUS MIXTURES

Do Not Use in equipment that will contact food.

Effectively removes and controls biofilm, slime, algae, odor and other organic contaminants in Tanks, Piping, Waterlines, and Industrial Equipment used to store and convey Industrial Process Water or Aqueous Mixtures.

(Biofilm and biocidal claims not approved in California)

DOSAGE RATES

Dose for badly fouled systems:

Fill equipment as completely as possible with a solution of 8 to 80 gal (8215-70000 ppm) of FortiSolve 100 (and if cleaning is desired or the pH of the mixture is below 8, optionally add FortiSolve 200 at the rate of 1 to 3 times the volume of FortiSolve 100) per 1000 gallons of system capacity (or equivalent use dilution). Circulate and then drain system. Rinse system thoroughly. If necessary, apply a solution containing 1 to 10 fl oz FortiSolve 100 (and if cleaning is desired or the pH of the mixture is below 8, optionally add FortiSolve 200 at the rate of 1 to 3 times the volume of FortiSolve 100) per gallon onto surfaces of the equipment that are not submerged.

Subsequent Dose, when microbial control is evident:

Subsequent slug additions of 5 oz to 8 gals (40-8215 ppm) FortiSolve 100 (and if cleaning is desired or the pH of the mixture is below 8, optionally add FortiSolve 200 at the rate of 1 to 3 times the volume of FortiSolve 100) per 1000 gallons of system capacity (or equivalent use dilution) are employed every 1 to 5 days or as needed. The frequency of addition depends on the quality of the makeup water and rate of inflow of airborne or other contaminants.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.

PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Keep product in closed original container when not in use. Store in a cool area away from potential sources of heat, open flames, sunlight or other chemicals. Store product below 90°F.

PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray or mixture or rinsate is a violation of Federal Law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of by use according to label instructions, contact your State Pesticide or Environmental Control Agency, or the Hazardous Waste representative at the nearest EPA Regional Office for guidance.

CONTAINER DISPOSAL: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Offer for recycling, if available or puncture and dispose of in a sanitary landfill, or by other procedures approved by state and local authorities. If rinsate cannot be used, follow pesticide disposal instructions. If not triple rinsed these containers are acute hazardous wastes and must be disposed in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Triple rinse or pressure wash container (or equivalent) promptly after emptying.

Triple rinse as follows: Empty the remaining contents into application equipment or a mix tank and drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Fill the container 1/4 full with water and recap. Shake for 10 seconds. Pour rinsate into application equipment or mix tank or store rinsate for later use or disposal. Drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Repeat this procedure two more times.

Pressure rinse as follows: Empty the remaining contents into application equipment or a mix tank and continue to drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Hold container upside down over application equipment or mix tank or collect rinsate for later use or disposal. Insert pressure rinsing nozzle in the side of the container, and rinse at about 40 PSI for at least 30 seconds. Drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip.
