Forte V II Indications

This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy salmonids 10g or larger against furunculosis caused by Aeromonas salmonicida, vibriosis caused by strains of Vibrio salmonicida and infectious salmon anemia caused by Infectious Salmon Anemia Virus. Composition

Contains formalin inactivated cultures of Infectious Salmon Anemia Virus, Aeromonas salmonicida, Vibrio anguillarum serotypes I & II, Vibrio ordalii and Vibrio salmonicida serotypes I & II in liquid emulsion with an oil based adjuvant. No other preservatives are used.

Dosage and Administration

Withhold food from fish for 48 hours prior to vaccination. Allowing the vaccine to warm to room temperature (15-20°C, 59 to 68°F) prior to use. Anesthetize fish to immobilize and administer a 0.05 mL injection intraperitoneally one fin length ahead of the pelvic fins along the midline.

Vaccination Program: It is recommended that vaccination should precede exposure of vaccinates to the disease agents by 600 degree-days (number of holding days multiplied by the mean water temperature (°C) during period). This product should be used as part of a comprehensive fish health program in consultation with a licensed veterinarian.

Dosage and Administration

Fish are anaesthetized to immobilize and administered a 0.05 mL injection intraperitoneally one fin length ahead of the pelvic fins along the midline. Allowing the vaccine to warm to room temperature (15-20°C, 59-68°F) may facilitate injection. Withhold food from fish 48 hours prior to vaccination.

CAUTIONS:

1. Mix well before using. Do not mix with other products.

2. Store in original container at 2-8°C (35-46°F). DO NOT FREEZE.

3. Use entire contents when first opened.

4. Vaccinate healthy fish only.

5. Do not vaccinate within 60 days of slaughter.

6. If accidental injection of the operator occurs, the operator should seek medical attention immediately. In case of any human exposure, contact a physician.

7. Dispose of any unused product according to local waste disposal regulations and/or requirements.
