What is FELIWAY^® FRIENDS?

FELIWAY^® FRIENDS clinically proven to help multiple cats live in harmony within the same home, by reducing conflicts and tension between cats.

FELIWAY^® FRIENDS a synthetic copy of the cat appeasing pheromone which is naturally produced by the mother cat after giving birth to her kittens. This pheromone is released from the mammary area and has a strong appeasing action on the offspring that helps maintain the bond between kittens and their mother. The cat appeasing pheromone has been shown to have this same bonding effect on adult cats living in multi-cat environments.

The synthetic copy of the appeasing pheromone in FELIWAY^® FRIENDS released as the plug-in diffuser device warms up.

FELIWAY^® FRIENDS is species specific. It can only be detected by cats and has the same meaning to all cats. FELIWAY^® FRIENDS is not a sedative. FELIWAY^® FRIENDS is the first line non-drug solution to help cats live in harmony in multi-cat homes. It has been proven to reduce the frequency and intensity of conflict and tension between multiple cats within the home. In some cases, additional behavioural treatment and environmental modifications may be required and advice should be sought from your veterinary practice or behaviourist.

Cat behaviour is often very complex and there are many approaches to help manage it. FELIWAY^® FRIENDS has no contra-indication with any other treatment. FELIWAY^® FRIENDS can be used in addition to other behaviour modification treatments your veterinarian or qualified behaviourist may recommend.

• About FELIWAY^® FRIENDS Diffuser

FELIWAY^® FRIENDS Diffuser requires a Refill and a Plug-In Device, each sold separately. The Refill contains the product to be diffused and the Plug-In is the diffuser device. Each Refill lasts up to 30 days. The Plug-In Device should be replaced every 6 months.

FELIWAY^® FRIENDS Diffuser works continuously to provide constant harmony between cats at home. It is clinically proven to help reduce tension and conflicts between cats in the home.

Use FELIWAY^® FRIENDS Diffuser and Refill to:

- help cats live in harmony together in the home

- reduce the frequency and intensity of tension between cats.

FELIWAY^® FRIENDS Diffuser should be plugged in the room where your cats spend most of their time.

FELIWAY^® FRIENDS Diffuser must be plugged in continuously. Use the peel off sticker on the FELIWAY^® FRIENDS Refill label to remind you when to replace the refill.

Each 48 ml vial lasts up to 30 days.

CONTENTS HARMFUL. Do not swallow. Do not get in eyes or on skin or clothing.

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Use only in a well-ventilated area.

FIRST AID TREATMENT: Contain Distillates (petroleum), hydrotreated middle.

If swallowed, call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately. If person is unconscious, obtain medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting. If in eyes, rinse with water for 15 minutes. If on skin, rinse well with water.

(sold separately from FELIWAY^® FRIENDS Refill)

Use only in properly functioning 120-volt electrical outlets.

DO NOT PLUG: Below any electrical device, under furniture or under any object protruding from the wall, in a multi-socket/multi-plug adaptor or an extension cord.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read all the instructions before using the product. This product is not a toy. Intended for adult use only.

When using electric products, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following: To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when a product is used near children. DO NOT put fingers, hands, metal or other foreign objects in the product. There are NO user serviceable parts on this device. DO NOT attempt to refill with other liquids or substances. If the diffuser unit blocks the “TEST” or “RESET” buttons of a GFCI receptacle, it is recommended that the unit be removed from the outlet monthly and the GFCI be tested before plugging the electric diffuser unit back into the outlet. The internal parts of this device will get very hot to encourage evaporation of the active ingredient. Do not touch these surfaces during use. To avoid damage, DO NOT place pheromone refill on finished wood surfaces or place any object above warmer. DO NOT PLUG: Below any electrical device. Under furniture or under any prominent object from the wall. In a multi-socket/multi-plug/extension cord. MINIMUM CLEAR DISTANCE above diffuser = 4 ft (1.20 m). DO NOT disassemble diffuser unit or modify the plug in any way. DO NOT plug in sideways or upside down. DO NOT immerse in water. Do not cover or place under furniture. This may impair or block diffusion of the product and leave residual marks.

Replace the diffuser plug-in device every 6 months.

Use ONLY FELIWAY^® FRIENDS Refills.
