Avian Reovirus Vaccine, Killed Virus Indications

For the vaccination of healthy chickens 12 weeks of age or older against tenosynovitis due to variant Avian Reovirus, Serotypes 1/4455, 2/4455, and 3. This product license is conditional; efficacy and potency have not been fully demonstrated. For more information regarding safety data, go to productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

The need for annual booster vaccinations has not been established for this product; consultation with a veterinarian is recommended.

DOSAGE AND IRECTIONS: Warm product to room temperature and shake well before use. Inject 0.5 mL intramuscularly using aseptic technique. Vaccinate only healthy animals.

DO NOT FREEZE. STORE IN THE DARK AT 35-46°F (2-8°C). USE ENTIRE CONTENTS WHEN FIRST OPENED. DO NOT MIX WITH OTHER PRODUCTS, EXCEPT AS SPECIFIED ON THE LABEL.

NOTICE: This vaccine has undergone sterility, safety and purity tests and meets Biomune and USDA requirements. However, the user is advised that response to vaccination depends on numerous factors, including but not limited to storage, handling, aseptic technique and the health and responsiveness of individual chickens. Due to the stress of handling or moving birds, vaccination of hens in lay may result in a drop in egg production.

Warning

Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Contains gentamicin, amphotericin B, and thimerosal as preservatives.

Accidental injection of this vaccine into a human may cause a serious localized reaction. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
