10 mg orally or via deep intramuscular injection, 1 to 3 times a day as needed.

Usual Pediatric Dose for Nausea/Vomiting

> 12 years: 10 mg orally or via deep intramuscular injection, 1 to 3 times a day as needed.

Other Comments

Intramuscular thiethylperazine should be administered deeply into a large muscle mass while the patient is lying down. The patient should remain at rest for at least 1 hour after the injection. Thiethylperazine causes drowsiness and may impair the patient's ability to perform hazardous tasks requiring mental alertness or physical coordination.
