Usual Adult Dose for Prostate Cancer

111 MBq to 259 MBq intravenously (3 mCi to 7 mCi) as a slow intravenous injection.

Comments:
Calculate necessary volume to administer based on calibration time and required dose.
After drug administration, administer an intravenous flush of sterile 0.9% sodium chloride injection, USP.

Use: As a radioactive diagnostic agent for men with prostate cancer.

Administration advice:
Administer as slow intravenous injection.
Use appropriate radiation shielding technique while withdrawing and administering the dose.
Initiate positron emission tomography (PET) scan 50 to 100 minutes after dose administration.
If necessary, a diuretic may be administered to decrease radiotracer accumulation in the urinary bladder and ureters.
After radiolabeling, use within 4 hours.

Storage requirements:
Before reconstitution, store at 2C to 25C (36F to 77F).
After radiolabeling, store upright below 30C (86F) with an appropriate lead shielding to protect from radiation.
Do not freeze.

Stay well hydrated before dose administration.
