Usual Adult Dose for Chikungunya Fever

Comments:
- This vaccine may not protect everyone against the chikungunya virus (CHIKV).
- Patients should take personal precautions to lower their risk of exposure to mosquito bites (e.g., use of adequate clothing, mosquito nets, repellants).
Use: For prevention of disease caused by CHIKV in patients at increased risk of exposure to CHIKV

Precautions
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Patients with a history of severe allergic reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) to the active component or any of the ingredients
- Patients who are immunodeficient/immunosuppressed due to disease/medical therapy (e.g., chemotherapy, congenital immunodeficiency, hematologic/solid tumors, long-term immunosuppressive therapy, patients with HIV infection who are severely immunocompromised)
Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 18 years.

Administration advice:
- Gently swirl the vial before withdrawing the dose; do not invert or shake the vial.
- Wait at least 1 minute after swirling the vial for complete reconstitution.
- Administer IM immediately after withdrawing the dose.

- Store between 2C to 8C (35F to 46F); store in the original package to protect from light.
- Do not freeze.
