For Depression "I think I have finally found what works for me! It took a lot of trial and error. I am currently on Pristiq (the generic kind) 100mg, Rexulti 1mg, and Vyvanse 75mg everyday. I take the Vyvanse and half an mg of Rexulti in the morning and Pristiq and another half an mg of Rexulti at night. The 1mg Rexulti all at once gave me anxiety by the end of the day. Now I have back my passion, my drive, and excitement for life! I have anxiety, depression, and ADD, but these medications balance out everything correctly."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I have MDD/GAD/ADD. Started Rexulti as an add-on to Zoloft. At first it was great - I was seeing improvements to my mood within days. But it eventually kind of fizzled out. Also made me gain 40lbs in the 9 months since I started taking it. I started tapering off of it, and this is where the real fun part begins. I rarely have issues stopping psych meds and I’ve never experienced side effects as long as I’ve tapered my dose, at least not until Rexulti. It has been hell to come off of this med. I have never been so depressed in my life. It’s like I’m an empty husk. No feeling or emotion. My thinking has become remarkably slow and my speech gives it away (it takes me forever to get through a sentence). Fortunately this is temporary but that doesn’t make it any less soul-crushing to experience. And it flares up even worse than before with every drop in dosage."

For Depression "Rexulti works if you are in a rough spot, but I have gained 80 lbs using this. My brain works, but the weight gain is not healthy for me. My doctor and I have agreed to discontinue this medication and are looking into alternatives. I lost 15 pounds the first week I lowered my dosage in half. I will continue to reduce dosage until it is out of my system. Anyone that uses this I would recommend keeping tabs and seeing what effect it has on your body during the first few months."

For Major Depressive Disorder "This is the Miracle drug of the year. It starts working on day 4. My Pdoc says they are using it in the psychiatric ER because it works so fast. I had been suffering with MDD for 16 years. I have tried almost every single drug and every combination without results. Currently taking 0.5 mg with Paxil 30 mg. It feels almost like euphoria mixed with a shot of energy."

For Schizophrenia "My daughter was taking abilify for 6 yrs and they switched her to this drug Rexulti because they said it had less weight gain issues. At first it work great for about 8 weeks then just stopped working. She developed hiccups on and off with this med and her body temperature was going hit and cold she then became very confused and could not focus then extremely depressed and I took her to the emergency room where 16 hrs later she had a grand mal seizure. Don’t take this Med I don’t think they’ve done enough research on it and it is still to new. My daughter was in the hospital 2 1/2 weeks and still is unable to think properly or focus on anything and still experiencing hiccups on and off now. I hope and pray she recovers. She was in college getting straight A’s before this."

For Major Depressive Disorder "After trying 10 different meds from several classes over the past year for depression and anxiety, nothing was working. They'd all make me go "crazy" or I'd have just about every possible sideeffect you could think of. I was close to giving up but my doc wanted me to try rexulti. For the first time ever I had no side effects and I was much happier, I wake up and I'm able to actually get out of bed and go on with my day with mo problem! I still get depressed and anxious once in a while. But overall this is amazing."

For Major Depressive Disorder "At the beginning, Rexulti really, REALLY lifted my MDD (along with 60 mg Prozac a day). Lots more energy, smiling and laughing a lot more, back to enjoying life again, wanting to go back to my knitting and gardening and much more!! And my NP gets so many samples from the drug reps that she said she could keep me in Rexulti for free long-term! However, it "pooped out" after just 3 weeks...so the NP upped my dose to 2 mg. But that made me really weak, tired and lethargic. So she told me to go back down to 1 mg. Neither of those doses did/is doing ANYTHING for my Depression. Please pray with me that I'll find a med that works---the next med change will be my 6th attempt after long-term use of generic Prozac by itself. Been on it 6 wks."

For Major Depressive Disorder "Rexulti has given me back my normal life . I have been on Effexor for 5 yrs & it stopped working as well , my anxiety had started to sky rocket . my Psych. added this 1mg a day and within 3 day I could feel a difference . Within 5 days I could fall asleep guickly again , I woke @ 8:30 am after sleeping 8.5 hrs instead of 12 . I have accomplished more in 2 hrs this am than I have for a month. I am relaxed, anxiety is almost gone & it does not make you feel like you are speeding . The only side affect I had was some loose bowels the first 3 days , now all is fine . SOOOOO glad this work , I was afraid that I would have to get my meds changed . It feels nice to be living my life again ."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I feel so much better after reading the other reviews. I am sensitive to meds so I can only tolerate 150 Mgs of Wellbutrin per day. It started to stop working on me around Christmas time. I felt blank. I have a wonderful psychiatrist who gave me Rexulti. I didn't know if it was psychosomatic at first or not, but I felt better within three days! My mood lifted. I feel level and normal and often forget to take the Xanax that I used to depend on for my several panic attacks per day. Now I'm weening down my Xanax because that you cannot stop cold turkey. This medication is wonderful. I'm just nervous about long term effects since it is so new."

For Depression "I have been on rexulti 4mg with wellbutrinxl 300mg, zoloft 200mg and adderall 90mg a day. Rexulti is for my depression. Yes I have gained so weight but I feel better on 4mg of rexulti. I need to figure out how to loose weight with this drug. But I also have other thryoid issues that messes with my weight constantly. I would rather be happy and gain a little weight than be miserable. I have come to the conclusion the medications are what you make it. I feel lots of relief from my depression. For years I felt like, even with 2 antidepressants I need something to stabilize me more. This rexulti is the only medication that doesn't change my personality or change who I am as a person."

For Major Depressive Disorder "Treatment Resistant Recurring Major Depressive Disorder - 300mg Wellbutrin XL and 75mg WellbutrinSR(1x in AM) which had been effective(stable baseline and fully functional) for years but due to life circumstances I began to feel depressed (feelings of hopelessness). After a week of 1/2 mg of adding Rexult the "sense of doom" dissipated and about another week of taking the 1mg I began to feel a sense that "all is well". Side effects: intense feelings of thirst and hunger, body temperature increased. Definitely bareable and can easily be decreased by drinking water and eating healthy. Side effects minimized week 2. I also tended to be cold all the time which brought me to normal temp. I lost 3 lbs in 1st week. Miracle combo."

For Depression "I have chronic depression (dysthymia) & anxiety, & the depression worsened recently despite being on Zoloft & Wellbutrin. My psychiatrist suggested we try Rexulti & wean me off the Wellbutrin. I started on 1mg, & I had a slight headache for the first two days. After that, I felt like I was doing a little better and my husband commented that I was more active than usual. My dose went up to 2mg a couple days ago. Now I feel like I can really tell a difference! I haven't felt depressed, I have more focus and creativity at work, & I've actually had enough motivation to do chores at home. I'm a little restless, which I'll keep an eye on, but I haven't noticed any other side effects besides that and the temporary headache. I'm optimistic!"

For Major Depressive Disorder "Struggling with treatment resistant depression for over 17 years. Very hopeful this would work. Well after the first five days I had an "EXTREME REACTION." After the third day started to fell a little confused, no appetite. But on the six day on my way to work I missed my exit on the highway. Things only got worse, stumbling, forgetfulness, etc. On my way home I started jumping curbs on highway and trying to drive into the other lanes of oncoming traffic. So confused i didn't know which direction I was traveling and could not get off the highway. I put others and inlcuding myself into so much harm. Thank God I was pulled over and taken to hospital via ambulance. Scared the holy crap out of me. Taken off this drug immediately."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I was put on 2mg Rexulti once a day after my 10mg day dose of Abilify stopped working. I noticed positive changes on the Rexulti within a week. It does make me tired, so I take it at bedtime along with 60mg of Cymbalta. I am definitely less angry feeling, less moody, and haven't had any crying spells since starting it 3 months ago. I definitely think it is more effective than Abilify was for me. Has not effected my weight or libido any. I would say It's working as intended, and 2mg seems to be a good therapeutic dose."

For Depression "I've been trying different combinations of medicines for a good 6 years. I was put on Trintellex about a year ago, and that helped some, but my depression was still disabling. Recently, I went to my psychiatrist and asked for a change in medication. She decided to add rexulti as an add-on to my Trintellex. The result has been phenomenal. I feel better than I have in years. I have more energy, I'm less anxious, and I've been able to leave my house without feeling overhelmed at all. This medicine has is working VERY well for me."

For Major Depressive Disorder "Rexulti is the absolute best drug I have taken. Day one, I thought, "There is no way this could be working already." Day two, I said, "I think this may be working". Day three, I said, "Oh my goodness, this is working great". My psychiatrist says he is seeing positive results in one week for most people, if it works for them. I have been treatment resistant for depression for 20 years. I've tried every medication, even ECT, but nothing has ever worked like Rexulti !!! "

For Depression "I was given Rexulti for add on for depression. At the time I was constantly in a dark place. Lots of thinking of death. Not suicidal. It helped overnight. However, I had some bad side effects. Tardive dyskinesia of the mouth. Although not in the way this condition is talked about. I was unable to chew. It was as if I lost that automatical chewing. I lost weight as I was unable to really eat anything except fluids. I was then put on yet another medication (can't recall the name.) This helped a little but did not help the way I had hoped. I decided to go off the Rexulti cold turkey. And I felt as though I was my body was failing me. Felt worse than the flu. I gave it 2 weeks before I had to start taking it again. Now I am slowly tapering to lower doses. Please listen when I say DO NOT go off cold turkey. I was on 3 mgs. I am now on 2mg and hope to change dose to 1mg next."

For Major Depressive Disorder "My doctor gave me a starter pack of Rexulti in lieu of my anti depressant (Viibryd) I am diagnosed with depression, bipolar, and anxiety. I was only on this for two days. The first day I was out of it, not clear headed, out of body experience, I was speaking slow, slurring, forgetful, anxious. That night I was up all night, couldn’t sleep. Racing thoughts. Restless. The next day my mind felt foggy. That night I was out of body experience that I felt I was in a black hole, I had panic attack, paranoia, hallucinations, racing heart. Never going on this again"

For Major Depressive Disorder "I have been on antidepressants to control my GAD, and panic attacks and severe MDD for 16 years. Recently I started with serzone as the base antidepressant to avoid sexual side effects. It did nothing for sleep and not really effective for depression or anxiety. Klonopin use went up to cope as I tried to learn "tools". Eventually my psych added risperdone for sleep which didn't do much but did raise my prolactin levels so my already low libido dropped further. He took me off risperdone and added gabapentin which did start to help a little with sleep and then added remeron which then finally brought my sleep into balance. But...the last critical piece was the rexulti. For me it was instantly effective at just one day to stop those body sensations of anxiety without any trigger or cause, or circumstance. I now finally felt calm and like I could actually live life. My interest in things increased and at day 5, continues to do so. Rexulti was like a light switch. "

For Major Depressive Disorder "I have MDD severe/recurrent, gen anx w/a big social element, ADD & intrusive thoughts. I was about ready to go to an inpatient facility until my doc prescribed Rexulti. While still on the starter pack, I noticed significant improvement. I also take Effexor&Klonopin. (Ritilan for the ADD) I have mixed feelings about the side effects. I was super morbidly obese and lost 1/2 of my body weight. The weight-gain, up at 3-3:30 am and severe am dizziness are starting to wear me out. My doc says no more than 6 months but I have gained 7lbs in 3 weeks so I am not sure I want to see how much I will gain over the next 5 1/2 months...but, I was 1st diagnosed at 16, now 44 & I will say this drug is a lifesaver. Discount card program makes it 0.00!"

For Major Depressive Disorder "This is by far the most effective antidepressant I have ever taken, after 23 years of drug therapy, and numerous combinations. The only side effect has been some mania, causing me to feel like my "brain is on fire"! So I do suffer from insomnia, mostly because of the increased brain activity. But I had insomnia before taking Rexulti, so this is not a new symptom. The "mania" is not a negative; I am extremely productive and never get sad, stuck or depressed."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I hate this medication (I had an adverse reaction). A couple years back my psychiatrist gave me a free trial of Rexulti to replace my antidepressant (I don’t remember what mg). I took it for about a week and a half before I started to have strong, consistent suicidal ideations. A week later I put myself into a psychiatric hospital with the support of my therapist and psychiatrist. The hospital didn’t have any Rexulti so I was forced to come off of it. After a week or so without taking it, the suicidal thoughts started to fade and I was back to the depressed-but-not-suicidal state I had been in beforehand. I would give Rexulti 0/10 if I could."

For Major Depressive Disorder "Rexulti help save my life! I have been on it since 2014. Thanks to this drug I have only had 2 episodes of MDD.. I have suffered from depression since I was in my late teens & I am 57 years old now. I had my first experience with MDD., in Oct. of 2013 & my 2nd one sometime in 2016. My 2nd episode of MDD was a lot milder and I was able to recognize that I was battling another bout of it. I owe that all to Rexulti! Rexulti helps the other Antidepressants that I am on to work better. I also have an awesome Psychiatrist and Psychologist that have really really been there for me over the years."
