A peroxide-based teat dip that provides broad spectrum germicidal activity both before and after milking.

Dosage and Administration

To Use: Directions For Teat Dipping

Pre-Milking: Fill teat cup with OXY-GARD™. Do not dilute. Before each cow is milked, dip the teats as far as possible into the teat dip cup containing OXY-GARD™. Wipe teats dry after dipping, using single-service towels to avoid contamination of milk.

Udder and teats which are heavily soiled should be washed before using a pre-milking teat dip. Teats should then be dried with a single service towel and dipped in OXY-GARD™, wiping the teats dry before milking.

Post-Milking: Immediately after milking, use OXY-GARD™ at full strength. Submerge entire teat in OXY-GARD™ solution. Allow to air dry. Do not wipe. Always use fresh, full strength OXY-GARD™. If product in dip cup becomes visibly dirty, discard contents and replenish with undiluted product. Do not reuse or return used product to the original container Do not turn cows out in freezing weather until OXY-GARD™ is completely dry.

Use proper procedures for udder washing or pre-milking teat dipping just prior to next milking to avoid contamination of milk.

Important: Do not mix OXY-GARD™ with any other teat spray, dip or other products. If transferred from this container to any other, make sure that other container is thoroughly pre-cleaned and bears the proper container labeling for OXY-GARD™.

Directions For Teat Spraying: Use a post-milking spray on each teat as an aid in a complete cow-care program to help reduce the spread of organisms which may cause mastitis. Immediately after milking, use OXY-GARD™ at full strength. Spray entire teat with OXY-GARD™ solution. Allow to air dry. Do not wipe. Always use fresh, full strength OXY-GARD™. Do not turn cows out in freezing weather until OXY-GARD™ is completely dry.

Wash entire udder and teats thoroughly just prior to next milking with appropriate udder wash product solution to avoid contamination of milk. Use proper procedures for udder washing.

Precaution(s): Protect from freezing. If frozen, mix well by shaking or rolling container.

Caution(s): OXY-GARD™ is not intended to cure or help the healing of chapped or irritated teats. In case of teat irritation or chapping, have the condition examined and, if necessary, treated by a veterinarian.

Warning(s): For cautionary and first aid information, consult the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
