HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS

JustiFly 0.67% Diflubenzuron Larvicide Premix Caution

Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wear protective eyewear (if appropriate). Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. Wear long-sleeved shirt and long pants, socks, shoes, and gloves.

FIRST AID

If in eyes:

● Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes.

● Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing.

● Call poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Mixers and other handlers must wear long-sleeved shirt and pants, shoes plus socks, and chemical resistant gloves (nitrile rubber, barrier laminate, neoprene rubber or viton). Follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry.

USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

Users should:

● Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.

● Remove clothing/PPE immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing.

● Remove PPE immediately after handling the product. Wash outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS

This pesticide is toxic to aquatic invertebrates. Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwater or rinsate.

USE INFORMATION

JustiFly^® 0.67% Diflubenzuron Larvicide Premix is intended for blending into cattle rations to prevent the development and emergence of infestations of horn fly, stable fly, house fly and face fly in the manure of treated beef and dairy cattle and calves. When mixed with cattle supplements, diflubenzuron, the active ingredient in JustiFly^® 0.67% Diflubenzuron Larvicide Premix, passes through the digestive tract and into the feces in sufficient concentration to kill fly larvae. JustiFly^® 0.67% Diflubenzuron Larvicide Premix controls the infestation by inhibiting the development of horn fly, stable fly, house fly and face fly larvae in the manure and feces of treated animals but is not effective against existing adult flies.

This product can be used as part of an integrated pest fly control management program aimed at reducing fly populations in the cattle’s environment. Consult your veterinarian or retailer for program recommendations. In order to achieve optimum fly control, use JustiFly^® 0.67% Diflubenzuron Larvicide Premix in conjunction with premise and on-animal products as well as good management and sanitation practices.

Directions For Use

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

There is no withdrawal period for JustiFly^® 0.67% Diflubenzuron Larvicide Premix. Start feeding JustiFly^® 0.67% Diflubenzuron Larvicide Premix before flies begin to emerge and continue to use until cold weather marks the end to fly season. In some cases, supplemental fly control measures may be needed in and around pastures, barns, and feedlots to control adult flies which can breed in other decaying matter or silage in the area, or migrate in from other locations.

MIXED WITH FREE-CHOICE MINERALS

Mix JustiFly^® 0.67% Diflubenzuron Larvicide Premix with free choice minerals to produce mineral mixture as shown in the table below*. Place diflubenzuron/mineral mixture in feeders close to either water sources and/or resting areas. Use one feeder for 15-20 head of cattle. Fill the feeders with no more than a 5-7 day supply of the mixture at one time, and protect from inclement weather.

4 OZ/DAY FEEDING RATE**

**When the use of free-choice mineral is recommended for beef and dairy cattle in pasture, the feeding rate is determined by the sodium chloride content. A 25% sodium chloride content determines a rate of 4 oz/day.

2 OZ/DAY FEEDING RATE***

***When the use of free-choice mineral is recommended for beef and dairy cattle in pasture, the feeding rate is determined by the sodium chloride content. A 50% sodium chloride content determines a rate of 2 oz/day.

MIXED RATION FEEDING

Use the formula below to determine the mixing rate of JustiFly^® 0.67% Diflubenzuron Larvicide Premix with grain or feed supplement. The mixing and feeding rates of JustiFly^® 0.67% Diflubenzuron Larvicide Premix is calculated from the equation and will provide the daily intake not in excess of 0.10 mg diflubenzuron/kg body weight (4.54 mg/100 lbs of body weight per day).

CALVES

For starters to be fed to calves weighing between 100-200 lbs, use the following table.

Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.

PESTICIDE STORAGE

Keep this product in its tightly closed original container. Store in a cool (preferably locked) area that is inaccessible to children and animals.

PESTICIDE DISPOSAL

Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility.

CONTAINER HANDLING

Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Completely empty bag by shaking and tapping sides and bottom to loosen clinging particles. Empty residue into mixing equipment then offer for recycling if available or dispose of empty bag and box in a sanitary landfill, or by other procedures approved by state and local authorities.

Champion USA LLC, neither makes nor authorizes any agent or representative to make any other warranty of fitness of merchantability, guarantee or representation, express or implied, concerning this product. To the extent consistent with applicable law, Champion USA LLC’s maximum liability for breach of this warranty shall not exceed that purchase price of this product. To the extent consistent with applicable law, buyer and user acknowledge and assume all risk and liabilities resulting from the handling, storage and use of this product which extend beyond the use of this product under normal conditions in accord with the statements on the label.
