Flexeril (Flexiril) is a tricyclic muscle relaxant. It works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) that are sent to your brain.

Flexeril (Flexiril) is used to relieve skeletal muscle spasms resulting from injuries such as sprains, strains, or pulls. Combined with rest and physical therapy, Flexeril (Flexiril) provides relief of muscular stiffness and pain.

Flexeril (Flexiril) side effects may include drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, dizziness, lightheadedness, constipation or blurred vision. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: mental/mood changes (e.g., confusion, hallucinations), difficulty urinating, fast/pounding/irregular heartbeat, fainting, yellowing of the eyes/skin, stomach/abdominal pain, persistent nausea/vomiting/lack of appetite, dark urine, seizures, loss of coordination.
