    • Amidate injection, Pfizer, 2 mg/mL, 20 mL LifeShield syringe, 10 count, NDC 00409-8060-29 - discontinued
Reason for the Shortage
    • American Regent is not currently marketing etomidate.
    • Athenex is no longer marketing etomidate injection.
    • AuroMedics had etomidate injection on shortage due to increased demand.
    • Fosun Pharma has etomidate injection available.
    • Hikma has etomidate injection on shortage due to increased demand.
    • Mylan Institutional has etomidate available.
    • Par Sterile Products discontinued etomidate in early 2015.
    • Pfizer discontinued etomidate ampules in October 2016. The LifeShield syringes were discontinued in August 2020.
    • Sagent is no longer marketing etomidate.
    • Zydus discontinued etomidate .
