"Mine was not STD, but bacterial. The dose was 500mg, twice a day. On day two had a debilitating migraine, and you cannot take aspirin or ibuprofen - panadol is useless. On day three I had such severe pain in both ankles I could not walk. Stopped taking it."

"For one.. do not listen to.all.of these people saying after 1 or 3 days they cant walk or remember what they had for breakfast because of 1 pill!! Everyone is different.I had Epidimytis but not do to sexual it was bacterial and after day 4 i was feeling much better. The only side effects i had were some muscle stiffness and jaw pain and a little stomach pain but for the most part not enough to cry over and was tolerable. The medicine does its job period.,why wait until you feel like shit to complain instead of reporting their bad effects quickly?"

"Mu epididymitis was not and STD, I thought that straining on muscle to keep urination caused it. First week of anti-inflammation drugs did not work. Then started cipro. On the 8th day pain was significantly reduced. After two weeks completely erased. Side effects of cipro occured to me were little bit dizziness and indigestion."

"Ciprofloxacin was prescribed by my hospital and urologist for a six week period. Muscle stiffness and bone pains as side effects, relieved by drinking plenty of water. Relief of testicular pain very slow. If condition does not considerably improve will seek to to have site drained."

"Took it for a possible bacterial Epididymitis. It took the pain down after one day, but I already had bad side effects from it right away. Swollen/Sore calves, left knee injury got worse and swollen, dizziness, lightheadedness, warm feeling, lower abdomen pain. Took it for 2 days, then stopped. The testicular pain is about 90% gone. Mine was Cipro XL once a day for 1000mg."
